Our 2-hour course is designed to help you provide sensory-safe haircuts and salon/barbering services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), and other sensory differences. By enrolling in our comprehensive course, you’ll delve into defining and understanding autism, sensory processing, and the differences between behaviors and stimming. You’ll also be provided with tools and systems that will help you develop your best practices by reflecting on the course materials and personalizing the information to meet the needs of your guests and families. Upon completion of the course, you’ll be recognized as a Certified Sensory-Safe Provider, and your name will be added to our website, which is developed to assist individuals and families in locating a sensory-safe industry professional, along with a display certification. You’ll learn to respond in a way that creates trust not trauma, and we guide you towards refining your talents by making restraints obsolete.
