Doug Schoon is an internationally recognized research scientist, author, and educator with over 30 years of experience in the cosmetics, beauty, and personal care industries. He is a leading authority, renowned for his expertise in scientific research, regulatory compliance, and educational content in the cosmetics industry. He holds 17 patents for innovative cosmetic formulations and technologies.
Doug is the president of Schoon Scientific and has served as Co-chair of the Nail Manufacturers Council on Safety (NMC) under the Professional Beauty Association since 2004. He was also CND’s Vice President of Science and Technology for 20 years. He holds an MS in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine.
